I have 3 tattoos and it's not enough...
I got my FIRST TATTOO at the age of 20, just a few months after I had stopped breastfeeding my newborn. Living in San Diego and seeing all the beautifully tattooed people had made me jealous...I wanted to look beautiful like them!
I met this guy one random day while I was at the beach. He said he had instantly fallen in love with me, but I knew the truth. He knew I had a daughter, and there was no man in the picture...all he wanted was to get me in bed. He said he would do anything for me, so I decided to take advantage of that. I asked him to take me to a tattoo shop, and he did. It was my first time in a place like that, and i couldn't stop looking at all the beautiful pictures...hanging on walls, in books...Everywhere.
There was a picture frame, filled with different types of Chinese Symbols, and I found the perfect one. I have to admit though, I chose it not because it resembled my personality, but because it sounded nice. What a mistake! "Sincere heart, sincere mind" It wasn't me...but I liked it.
I knowingly had no money to pay for this tattoo. I knew he would pay for it, and he did...It was the best and worst $120 I NEVER spent!
My SECOND TATTOO was more of a "me" thing. I had a thing for faeries...I was obsessed with them! I met an artist during "Comic Con '08" and he was kind enough to design a very simple but nice faerie for me. About 6 months later, I went to the same guy that did my character tattoo and had him ink this beautiful faerie on me. The artist originally had it my faerie colored green, but being the girl that I am, I asked my tattoo guy to make her pink.
Thant's pretty much the story with my faerie...Well, 6 months later during "Comic Con '09" I went back to the artist and showed off his piece of art I had permanently inked on my back. He was happy...at least he looked happy. I came back a few times daily over the course of those 4 days practically begging him for another sketch but over and over again, he refused! He had the lamest excuses such as "I don't have any of my supplies", or "I just ran out of paper." What a bunch of bullshit!!!
My THIRD TATTOO was a desperate attempt to get another. A few years ago, while hanging out at home with a former good friend, I had asked her to "ink" me. So, she got a pen, put the ink in the cap, got a few needles and started to "tattoo" me with them on my right ankle. It may not be the safest way to do this, but the needles were sterilized, so I figured...what the hell! 7 years later the mark had started to fade, and it was just not attractive anymore. So, I took a day off, went to this new tattoo shop that had just open, and got a very three beautiful cherry blossoms to cover it.
I will have MORE TATTOOS.
This is me, this is my life, and this is how I choose to live it.
